2026 IRL Texas Events in Houston and DFW
We have two meetups planned in Texas in October! We are just meeting up to shake hands, answer questions about FYREshire, discuss community building, and see where the conversation takes us. There is no set agenda:
- October 8, 2026 in HOUSTON, TX – We are meeting from 5:30 PM to 7 PM at the Bar Louie at Baybrook Mall (700 Baybrook Mall, Suite G-110, Friendswood, TX 77546). Their Happy Hour there ends at 6 PM. Look for the FYREshire placard on the table.
- October 15, 2026 in IRVING, TX – We are meeting from 5:30 PM to 7 PM at the Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen (700 W Lyndon B. Johnson Fwy, Irving, TX 75063). Look for the FYREshire placard on the table.
- We may be doing an event in AMARILLO, TX either before the end of this year or early next year. Email us if you are interested.
What else is going on
We are continuing to move FYREshire project forward.
- The next major milestone will be launching the FYREshire.NET website to support the formation of the committees and working groups. This will be the practical working side of the project and not just a discussion forum.
- Users will be able to login, see meeting minutes, share files, and track projects. This will likely open for registration in mid-November.
- This will also kickoff regularly scheduled web meetings as well so folks can start collaborating more closely and this is where we will turn the concepts into actionable plans.
